I never knew about the energy part of it, until I read an article about the differences in children. I realized that Molly is an introvert like me. Sometimes, she just needs alone time. So, what are you doing with the childre...Nice list! So, what are you doing with the children at your wedding? I saw the coloring books on your list. I have a funny story about keeping kids occupied during the wedding...

For our wedding, my mother was slightly obsessed with making sure the children (all 3 of them) were entertained for the evening. My opinion was that if their parents wanted to bring them, then the parents could probably handle entertaining them, but sometimes you have to let the MOB have her thing...

So, my mom put together these little kid gift bags for the 3 kids that were under like..10...they were little match box cars and dolls--just little things for them to play with during the reception.

The day before the wedding, we went to the reception hall to decorate. Everything went great except that I forgot to bring the seating arrangement paper where I had written down which tables were which, so Patrick and I and two of our friends had to go through all of the place cards to figure out where to put the "table numbers" (which were actually handbells...cute huh?)

Anyway, so we're standing at the place card table and my mom was ready to go, so she asked me to put the kiddie bags at the appropriate tables once we figure out where they are. I was like sure, okay. Of course, I immediately forgot.

Fast forward to a week later, when we're back from our honeymoon and gathered at Patrick's parents to open our gifts. I open this gift bag and find, to my confusion, some matchbox cards and crayons, etc.

Apparently, since I had left the bags on the place card table, someone thought they were gifts for the bride and groom. They never made it to the tables for the kids!!

We just kind of laughed about it then, but it's pretty funny because my mom spent a ton of time trying to figure out what to get these kids so they wouldn't be bored.

I guess the moral of the story is, don't sweat the small stuff?Cherihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11217989525872019150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2313504843665895822.post-14611302836655099002011-03-08T16:36:11.745-06:002011-03-08T16:36:11.745-06:00Bahaha, I remember all those pictures! Your parents are "pillars" in the church....and you are following their example. They have been an important part of defining (through their actions) what our church family has become. From afar, I have also LOVED seeing you grow through all of your stages. Your parents must be so proud of this lovely and competent young woman you've become. The church will be in good hands with young families like what you and "B" will bring to the congregation.
